The Hing Yiap Group was founded in 1970 as a fabric and clothing factory. It was housed initially in rented shop-houses producing a limited range of plain singlets and t-shirts.
In the mid-1970s, an increase in demand led to subsequent acquisition of modern machinery enabling the company to produce a wider range of more sophisticated quality apparel such as tracksuits, jackets, sweaters, polo t-shirts, shorts, pants and others.
